NEWS!! RED MAGNOLIA
December 06: Due to
hurricane Katrina, the production of Red Magnolia has been temporarily halted.
Filming will resume in the summer of '07. Most of our sets were destroyed
including the cabin for scene 1. I have uploaded a teaser in QuickTime
format. More to come! TAS
April 05: Act 3 is in
the can! The saloon scene shootout was completed after 9 hours of
shooting. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. The footage
is great and the acting was excellent. All that remains of principle
photography is act 1 which will be completed in a couple weeks. I have
started editing act 2 and 3 to get ahead of the game. There is so much
left to do though. I had to upgrade some of my software for a composite
required in act 2. It is a simple shot but a complex composite requiring
motion tracking. I have updated the photo section with new shots from act
3.
January 05: Just
completed shooting most of act 2. There will be some re-shoots of two
small scenes but they are not as challenging as any other in act 2! Most
of act 2 takes place in a remote area where it was hard to get our
equipment, props and the horse to the location. Everything went very
well as I had plenty of help. One of the scenes in act 2 includes a
hanging scene and took quite a bit of time to rig. Our actor did great and
was very patient. He was muddy, wet, barefooted and cold! Check out

November 04: We are well under-way in production of our short western,
"Red Magnolia" Plans are to shoot footage in mid December of act
2 and then mid January we will shoot act 3. Act 1 will be completed in the
